PSA Chess Valley Challenge

The Parent and Staff Association (PSA) are excited to offer a fantastic fundraiser, the Chess Valley Challenge.

What is the Chess Valley Challenge?

The CV Challenge is a sponsored walk of varying difficulty around Chorleywood House Estate and the surrounding Chess Valley.  Challengers raise sponsorship by choosing and completing one (or all) of the pre-planned routes.  Bronze (2km), Silver (3km), Gold (6km) or Platinum - all three routes!!  Information about the individual routes can be found in the route plans within your Challenge pack.  If you can’t make the day you can complete the challenge up until the 30th Sep.

Cost

Online registration for the Challenge is £5 per child or £10 per family.  Registration is via the PTA online booking platform ( https://www.pta-events.co.uk/christchurchcoe/ - select CSS Chess Valley Challenge) and includes a challenge pack containing detailed maps and routes, a risk assessed marshalled route with First Aid cover and a certificate of achievement on completion.

If you register before 23rd August you can also choose to include a branded T-shirt which is available in both children's and adult sizes.

Fundraising

This is a fundraising event to raise funds needed to improve the outdoor learning and play space at Christ Church School.   It is suggested that Challengers should aim to raise in excess of £45.00 each through sponsorship.  This can be achieved online via either the PSA Just Giving Page.
(https://www.justgiving.com/christchurchchorleywoodsch-psa) or via your own family/group Just Giving fundraising pages linked to the PSA account (information of how to do this is available online here).

On the day

All routes start and end at Base Camp @ North Hill Farm between 1300 and 1400 on 21st September and are between 30 and 120 minutes in duration.  Routes are checked and manned on the day. At Base Camp there is food available for purchase along with other stalls which will remain open until 17:30 providing support and facilities for those out walking.  Anyone who is not walking is also welcome to come and support the event.
